CAT6+ HD Patch Panels are Now Available for Purchase
CAT6+-HD-Patch-Panel CAT6+ HD Patch Panels are now available for purchase! These new Patch Panels allow for in-line termination, improving termination efficiency and quality with up to 30% reduction in installation time. They have an easy to read rear color label with pair sequence, along with built-in cable management bar for tidy rear cable management. In-line termination panels have a variety of advantages over panels with jacks, from a more intuitive (BL-OR-GN-BR) on straight line, more room between connector rows, and allow for the termination tool to remain in the same orientation throughout installation. Check out the eConnect page for price files, competitive info, presentations and more. And don't forget to send customers to the Enterprise Product Updates page on the web.

FX Multi-Box Brings Bandwidth of Fiber Closer to the User
Multi-Box-smIn many applications, strategic placement of consolidation points is critical, requiring a compact, low-profile design that can be easily concealed above a suspended ceiling or below a raised floor. Installation and maintenance is eased by flexible termination options to quickly connect nearby equipment. FX Multi-Box (M-Box) is Belden's solution for this, bringing fiber closer to the point of use for high bandwidth and flexible zone cabling. FX M-Box's unique differentiator is that it supports field termination using mechanical and pigtail fusion splicing techniques and pre-termination for fast deployment of 1 gigabit and 10 gigabit fiber applications. Send customers to the Enterprise Product Updates page on the web for updated product bulletins and the press release! Also, check out the M-Box page in eConnect for more info.

A Review of Fiber Week II
The week of June 2 marked the second annual Fiber Week event, held in our Montreal location. This year’s session drew 35+ Belden fiber experts from around the globe, across all platforms and in multiple roles within the organization including PLMs, Sales Engineers, Tech Support and Operations. External support was provided by Fluke and JDSU.

This in-depth training featured extensive hands-on work with FX Brilliance Universal, Fusion Splicing and testing. Attendees also took part in terminating competitive product such as Corning’s Unicam and AFL’s Fast.

Here were some key installation tip takeaways for the FX Brilliance Universal:

  • Don’t forgot to mark the buffer with a pen while the cable is still in the cleaver

  • Insert the fiber into the connector by squeezing the fiber between your thumb and the installation handle, then sliding your thumb towards the connector to advance the fiber into the connector

  • Keep your fingers away from the fiber near the back of the connector

  • Inspect before you Connect: Visual inspection of the fiber endface for cleanliness and wear is a requirement EVERYTIME a connection is made

  • Always close the activator before using the VFL test

3rd Party Verification of FX Brilliance Universal Tests
TelcordiaTo provide another layer of confidence in our FX Brilliance Universal connector family, Belden sourced independent 3rd party qualification. As expected, the 3rd party results confirm and support the Belden internal qualification results. The testing was done through the industry recognized organization Telcordia, whom we choose due to their long standing expertise in Fiber Optics testing and standards. These results are not an endorsement by Telcordia, nor an approval by Telcordia, they are simply presenting the resulting test data. Tests included TIA 568.C.3 Test Plan plus additional Belden Specific Quality & Reliability Tests. Pease note: the document can be made available to select customers under NDA, but they are not available for general distribution. Please contact Dwayne Crawford to discuss BEFORE discussing with any customers.

Lead Nurturing Campaign off to a great start!
Lead_Nurturing_CampaignIn late May we marked the beginning of the digital marketing campaign to promote Belden's expertise in Data Centers and Fiber. So far we have promoted the downloading of the Multi-Fiber White Paper, and registration to our recent Cabling the Hyper Data Center webinar. Here are some preliminary results:

  • 479 white paper downloads with 58 new contacts added to SFDC, resulting in 68 Marketing Qualified Leads and 10 new Opportunities

  • 682 Webinar registrations, 302 people attending live or on-demand

We will continue this digital campaign through the end of the year with new white papers, relevant blog posts and another webinar later in the year.

You can still add your contacts to this campaign. For a small amount of additions, you can fill the form by clicking here and have them added to the list automatically. This page also features a link to a spreadsheet you can submit to Melissa Knapp for a larger number of changes.
